Components

• The unit is powered by a assembled HM Diesel engine, having proven performance record On full operating load of the rail threader the engine is having spare power of 20%
• Wheels are double flanged and are powered by Bi-directional hydraulic motors geared to accelerate at 25% (max) gradiant upto speeds of 13kmph
• Heavy duty forged rail clamps are provided on each side between the wheels, these are hydraulically operated for opening and clamping as and when required through a control lever
• The control panel has control levers for- Driving(Travel), Lifting/Lowering(one each cylinder), Spread/Pull(one for each cylinder) and Clamping
• An output of 1000m/hr can be achieved, when lifting and positioning of both rails, simultaneously

• HME Rail Threader (RT-06/01) is designed and engineered to suit conditions of Indian Railway, in terms of track parameters, rails, sleepers and availability of manpower and spares for the equipment
• The equipment works with one operator who can use the machines functional capability easily to ride/roll on rail, lift/lower from left/right hand side LWR/a single rail and place in position
• The rail threader runs on rail of varying gauge by virtue of adjustable cross travel of wheel sets
• The machine is structured to mount engine, wheel sets (idling and motorized), hydraulic cylinders (lift, lower, spread, pull), drivers seat and control panel
