Re Refining Used Lube Oil

Used lube oil feedstock contains free and emulsified water, light hydrocarbons, metals, halogenated compounds, glycols, carbon, unsaturated hydrocarbons, polymers, asphaltenes etc.
Re-refining of lube oil is an attractive recycling method regarding conservation of resources and environment protection. Energy consumption of re-refining process is much lower than for virgin lube oil production.
In our re-refining process, all the contaminants of the used lube oil are removed and the base lube oil is recovered. It offers high yield operation, high quality products, low energy consumption and absence of noxious wastes. The process consists of the following steps in brief:
pretreatment and dewatering,
removal of diesel and other light oils by fractionation,
removal of asphaltenes by thin film evaporation,
solvent extraction or hydrotreating,
final fractionation for different cuts of base lube oil.
