The grid spring element provides the required resilience for variable flexibility of a coupling and considerable damping properties, which ultimately makes the Resilient Couplings suitable for drives involving high shock loads to the extent of 80%. Misalignment that occurs between rotating shafts, that are dependently supported, can also be taken care of by the spring element within allowable limits.

• Determine service factor corresponding to the type of application under consideration from the Table of Service Factors.

• After having determined the Rating of Coupling, check whether maximum bore and recommended speed of the Coupling correspond to the requirements of the drive.
