At XS Marines we dare to be different from other boating companies. We are dedicated to designing and building boats to satisfy our customers’ requirements and to manufacturing locally developed equipment. The seed of an idea germinates into an innovative design which transforms into a whole new creation before your eyes.
XS Marines was started by Sheri Bamboat with a view to making good quality sailing equipment at affordable prices for the Indian sailor.
Being a passionate and enthusiastic sailor since his college days, Sheri participated in a number of National Championships. Paucity of funds for purchasing foreign equipment whilst sailing dinghies led him to start manufacturing his own equipment resulting in him winning a number of National championships in the Seabird & Lightning class of boats. Considering the success of this he started Morries Marines.
Seeing the quality of the locally developed items the Sea Cadet Corp requested him to help develop local made ball/roller blocks for the Cadet World Championship in 1986/87. This led to a larger inventory of equipment being developed. In 2002/2003 on the recommendation of the Sea Cadet Corp, the NOAI requested us to develop the Optimist Racing Spars for the IODA Asian Championship 2003.
In 2006 XS Marines was formed to build boats and the manufacture of equipment was merged under this entity.
Today Sheri is assisted by his son Xerxes, who has himself won National titles and medals in the Optimist, Laser 4.7 and Radial Classes. Xerxes has represented India at various IODA Asian Championships abroad and at the Asian Games 2006 in the Optimist Class at Doha.

XS Marines offers in addition top quality sailing equipment from foreign manufacturers like Clamcleat-UK, Super Spars-UK, Quantum Sails- Spain, Viadana s.r.l.-Italy, Allen Brothers-UK, Marlow Ropes- UK and Harken-US.
XS Marines has pledged to further its aim at providing world class yachting equipment at affordable prices for both the young, aspiring champion as well as the older recreational sailor. We hope in this way to inspire many more to experience this enthralling sport, which develops both mind and body and encourages the spirit to conquer new worlds.
