These couplings connect rotating members such as shafts so that these couplings secure onto both members and provide transmission of torque and motion. Rigid couplings are used where the axes of the shafts are directly in line. A rigid coupling is suitable for shafts in close alignment or held in alignment without inducing destructive forces in shafts or bearings. Our rigid couplings are available in one and two-piece designs, with and without key-ways, in aluminum, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and many more materials. A large number of standard sizes are available in straight and step bore combinations to fit shafts of various dimensions.
