Rochon Prism Polarizer Quartz

Rochon polarizer is made of two birefringent material prisms cementedtogether. Both ordinary and extraordinary beams propagate collinearly down theoptic axis in the first prism under the ordinary refractive index. Uponentering the second prism the ordinary beam experiences the same refractiveindex and continues undeviated. The extra-ordinary beam, however, now has alower refractive index and is refracted at the interface. The angle ofrefraction is further increased at the birefringent materialair exit surface. Anyseparation angle can be designed for specific wavelength upon customer's requests. The feature of Rochon polarizer is light glue, and it is suitable for medium and high power laser, the wavelength bandwidth coverage is visible and mid-infrared, in the time, the Rochon Polarizer Prism is higher degree of polarization than other kind of Polarizers. Rochon Prism Polarizers is made of Quartz, A-BBO, Calcite and YVO4 crystal.
