Botanical Name: The parent tree/plant of Rosewood oil is scientifically called Aniba roseodora. It is also known as “bios de rose” or “Brazilian Rosewood”. 
Origin: Suggestive of the names - the “Brazilian Rosewood is native to Brazil and the “India ian Rosewood is native to India. 
Form: The Rosewood oil is a thin consistency essential oil. 
Scent: It emits a fresh, pleasant, warm, woody, floral and fruity scent. 
Shade and Appearance: The Rosewood oil is colorless clear with a Yellowish tinge in it. 
Chemical constituents: The major components of Rosewood oil are Benzaldehyde, Camphene, 1,8-Cineole, Geraniol, Geranial, Limonene, Linalool, Linalool Oxides, Myrcene, Neral, α -Pinene and α-Terpineol. 
Extraction method: The Rosewood oil is extracted from the Rosewood chippings via steam distillation method. 
Blends well with: The Rosewood oil blends especially well with all citrus and floral oils.
