Working Principle The FABON Rotary Drum Dryer works on the principle of direct or indirect heat transfer through a rotating cylindrical drum. Feeding: Wet biomass is fed into the rotating drum using a conveyor or screw feeder. Drying Process: Hot air from the furnace or biomass burner passes through the drum in co-current or counter-current flow. The drum continuously rotates, lifting and showering the material through hot air for uniform drying. Discharge: The dried material exits through the discharge chute, ready for use in pelletizing or briquetting. The system ensures efficient moisture reduction (from 35–50% to below 12%) with minimal material degradation and energy wastage.
