ECCENTRIC ROTARY PLUG CONTROL VALVES Series 55000 Eccentric Plug Rotary Control Valves are designed for onoff and throttling applications. The plug is offset to the shaft centerline. This allows the plug to break free of the seat ring immediately upon initial rotation of the shaft. Since there is no sliding contact between the plug and seat ring throughout travel, seat ring life and shutoff integrity are greatly enhanced. These valves are designed to overcome the problems of harsh, high velocity and high temperature processes, and they also provide accurate, reliable control in a broad range of applications, such as high and low pressure steam, cleandirty corrosive liquids & gases, erosive and abrasive slurries etc.
