Round Duct

MKT products are factory fabricated to meet or exceed 3rd edition 2005 SMACNA Standards. MKT Standardizes rounded duct typically with USA mill-stamped, G90 galvanized steel*. We not only meet requirements set by the state and federal entities, but our highest standards are held by our own quality control guidelines.

Snap lock
Economical. Shipped knocked-Down and assembled in the field. Typically used for light commercial or multi-family residentialcondo’sapartments. Easier to take mass quantities to a multi-story job. Normally wrapped in the field for installation. Low pressure work.
Flange
Connecting System, 2 different flanges, angle ring flange (Accuflange – spiral, commercial HVAC application). Industrial flange (Burkholder)-high heat, high pressure, high velocity.
Van Stone Flanges
Practical and labor saving method for connecting both industrial duct and pipe. Industrial duct: the Van Stone connection consist of a face flange and a backing
flange with a slip fit over the duct. The face flange is mechanically formed from the end of the duct section by turning the edge of the duct and forming a “lip” with an outside diameter small enough to clear the connect bolts.
Double Wall
Double wall Solid Inner (only R value) and Double Perf Inner (R value and decibel ratings). 2 different scenarios: Insulate the pipe for an industrial application – solid inner. Perf, are wholes in trap sound as well as R Value and decibel ratings.
Welded
A fabrication or sculptural process that joins materials. A level beyond HVAC applications to enclose fumes, biologicals, high pressure, particulate.
