Shackle Insulators, Feature : Superior Finish

Shackle Insulators are used in low voltage distribution lines. The Shackle Insulators are otherwise known as spool insulators. Shackle Insulators are used at the end of distribution lines or at sharp turns where there is excessive tensile load on the lines. These Shackle Insulators can be mounted either in the vertical or horizontal position. The Shackle Insulator is mounted axially. The loading is on circumferential grooves in the insulator. The conductor is secured in the groves by means of soft-bending wires. The Shackle Insulators are bolted to the cross-arm of the pole.
