We are a prominent Manufacturer, Supplier and Exporter of Rubber O Rings. Rubber O Rings are used very commonly these days for both static as well as in dynamic applications as they are easy to install. Besides, the Rubber O Rings are designed to provide the most cost-effective sealing solution. Rubber O Rings are offered by us in a large range of standard imperial and metric sizes. How Does An O Ring Work? By joining metal surfaces, the O-Ring works as a seal through the mechanical twist of the electrometric composite. The pressure which moves the ring is derived by the mechanical pressure, squeezing of proper gland design, the selection of the material, and by the system pressure sent in by the liquid itself. The ring does the sealing through the deformation of the seal material by installation and media pressure, thereby closing the gap between mating components. However, high pressures can cause deformation through the gap, known as extrusion, which results in seal failure. Types Of Rubber O-Rings

    • Static O Ring: Static Seal is the one which does not move, except for pulsation caused by cycle pressure.
    • Dynamic O Ring: Dynamic Seals are those seals that are subjected to movement.
    Applications
    • Static
      • The cross section of the ring is squeezed axially in the groove which is similar to a flat gasket.
      • The cross section of the ring is squeezed radially in the groove, between the inside (ID) and outside (OD).
      • It is also axially squeezed in a dovetail groove.
      • It is used for sealing straight thread tube fittings.
    • Dynamic
      • The seals or rings are used in applications that slide back and forth.
      • Useful for both rotary and reciprocating movement.
      • Used in a variety of other applications such as
        • Wipers
        • Buffers
        • Drive belts
    Standards
    • American Standard : AS-568
    • Great Britain : BS 1806 - BS 4518
    • Germany : DIN 3771
    • Sweden : SMS 1586
    • France : NF T 47 501
    • Japan : JIS B 2401-77
    Cross Sections
    • Common metric sections include 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm 3.0mm, 3,5mm, 4.0mm, 4.5mm 5.0mm, 6.0 etc.
    • Common Swedish sections include 1.6mm, 2.4mm, 5.7mm, 8.4mm
    • Common French sections include 1.8mm
