rotary dryer is widely used for drying materials with humidity and granularity such as sand , coal , sludge , coal slurry , brown coal , fly ash , gypsum , clay , kaolin , grain , sawdust , mill scale , iron powder , chicken manure , feed and so on . It mainly consists of revolving tube , roll ring , wheel gear , motor , reduction gears , supporting device etc . Its corollary equipments are conveyor , dust collector , draft fan and so on .
Working principle
wet materials are sent into hopper by belt conveyor or bucket elevator , then enter into a large revolving cylindrical tube . The tube has slope slightly so that the discharge end is lower than the feeding end in order to convey materials through dryer . There are many lifting boards which fixed on the inner wall of the tube . During drying process , materials are lifting up repeatedly and contact with hot air sufficiently . Then the moisture contained in materials is steamed . At the end of , the waste gas is released into atmosphere by draft fan .
