We are offering sapphire (lucky stones) when the mineral corundum appears red in color, it is known as a ruby. In any other color, it is a sapphire. The most desirable color is cornflower blue, but sapphires are also beautiful in shades of pink and yellow. In olden days, the sapphire was sought after by wizards and seers as a prophesy aid. They were believed to banish evil spirits, frighten devils, reverse evil sorcery and put negative spells back on the sender, and were known to provide warning against hidden dangers.
