Shatavari, Asparagus racemosus, is a climbing plant that grows in low jungles areas throughout India. Shatavari plant leaves resemble pine needles and grow to up to 2 meters in height. It is in flower from July to August. The flowers are hermaphrodite, have both male and female organs, and are pollinated by Bees. Its fruits are small, round, and turn red. The fruits contain 2 or 3 seeds.
