Saxophone

The saxophone is a conical-bore, transposing musical instrument that is a member of the woodwind family.Saxophones are made of brass. There are variations in the amounts of added copper or nickel.   Saxophones are used primarily in bands, big bands, and jazz bands, but also featured in some 19th and 20th century orchestral works, as well as in wind ensembles and woodwind choirs.   All the saxophones, regardless of their size or transposition, have the same fingering system.
