Contact SupplierThe Scottish Blackface is considered a medium sized sheep and is distinguishable by their black and white marked faces. Their heads and legs often have little bits of wool or none at all. The ewes are good at raising sheep and are also good at providing milk. They tend to be quite protective mothers. The Scottish Blackface has wool that is coarse and long. It is very well known in Great Britain due to its exceptional use for crossbreeding, particularly the Bluefaced Leicester and the Border. Both sexes of Scottish Blackface are capable of having horns.
