Secondary Structure Aircraft Components

Typical types of aircraft components are exterior access doors that protect avionics equipment, stiffing ribs and spars in larger assemblies and wing skin panels. Many components go into larger assemblies with complex hardware, strict non-destructive inspection requirements and elaborate coatings for static dissipation and rain erosion.
These components are typically constructed with CarbonEpoxy prepregs and tapes. Sandwich components are also typical with both metallic and non-metallic honeycomb core. Carbonepoxy structural components require exacting dimensions and high strength. These properties are accomplished through autoclave curing and CNC machining.
