1. Overview
YSZ Series 15 ppm Bilge Separator is designed and manufactured according to IMO resolution MEPC.107(49), Guidelines and Specifications for Pollution Prevention Equipment for Machinery Space Bilges of Ships. This device is used for the treatment of bilge oil-water mixture without sediment of various ships and separating oil and water of mixture.
With compact structure, small size and light weight, this device provides large treatment capacity and high reliability, as well as being able to be operated and maintained easily. The YSZ Series 15 ppm Bilge Separator is provided with auto/manual switch and convenient to discharge oil manually. The device is equipped with passive alarm signal interface to provide remote control signal, and it is especially suitable for a high degree of automation of ships.
2. Principle
The YSZ Series 15 ppm Bilge Separator is a gravity-type and isolating-type and oil-filtering device. It is composed of separator, special-purpose pump, electric control box, 15ppm bilge alarm device, suction filters and other pipelines, valves and fittings. The separator adopts three-stage oil filtering mode. Bilge oil and water mixture( hereafter called bilge water) is pumped into the first-stage oil-filtering room by the bilge water pump, where the first-stage separation is performed using the specific gravity difference of oil and water and the floating oil is separated from the water through the method of gravity. Small oil particles are coalesced together through the coalescer in the second-stage oil-filtering room, and then be separated and float to the surface. Treated bilge water satisfying the discharge standard through the second-stage treatment will be directly discharged overboard as an effluent. If it still fails to meet the discharge standard after the second-stage treatment, and then the third-stage emulsified oil to be separated oil and water, and to make the treated bilge water meet the discharge standard as an effluent. The separated dirty oil is collected in the top of oil-filtering room. When the collected dirty oil reaches certain amount, it will be automatically discharged to the dirty oil tank.
