Design features
speed gear box: the speed gear box transmits the motor rotation through crank to the ram. It is an individual part of thecmachine clamped at back wall. A v-belt clutch pulley mounted on the in front shaft is used for transmitted rotation as well ascending or disengaging the gear box transmission six speeds are provided with gear box. Controls of gear change lever and clutch handle are centralized for easy reach of the operator.
Cross slide and apron slide: it is a box shaped casting mounted on its well proportioned slide ways in front of the body. It is locked square to the means of adjustment for maintaining the alignments and clamped to resist the direct cutting thrust.
Universal table: the table is box shaped iron casting provided with t –slots for fastening the work pieces. The table rests on a horizontal slide moving along the saddle ways. The saddle in turn, slides on the bed vertical ways to move the table in vertical direction. Horizontal table feed can be affected either by hand or power under large loading a table sport is used by clamping at front end.
Table feed mechanism: the mechanism provides horizontal table feed sleeplessly by auto block. It is mounted on a
separate i.e. Case attached to the bed side wall. A slotted gear fitted in case at crank shaft end. Table feed takes place at ram reserve stroke only.
Ram: ram is of heavy cross section to resist cutting stresses. The length of stroke can be changed by a hand wheel located above whilst the machine is in operation. The crank mechanism connected to the ram reduces the letter reciprocating motion.
Auto lubrication system: an auto lubrication pump is providing pressured oil to the ram ways. Crank arm gears and all bearings and other important working parts with exception of the saddle and table etc which are gun lubricated.
