Shea Butter is fatty oil which is used in creams, lotions and massage oil. Shea Butter, an ivory colored fat is made from the nuts of African Shea trees. Shea trees are found in the West African countries such as Ghana, Nigeria and Mali. Shea butter is derived from the stearic acid and oleic acid.
Shea butter oil is produced by reducing the amount of stearic acid in Shea butter. It consists of phytosterols which stimulates the cell growth and also contains natural sun-protectants. Shea butter has amazing skin- softening properties.
