Corten Sheet: Corten is a trade name associated with the U.S. Steel Corporation and is used to describe a High Strength – Low Alloy steel. Steel sheet meeting this grade of steel is produced to ASTM A606. This grade of steel sheet offers a much higher Yield Strength and more Corrosion resistance than a Hot rolled Commercial quality sheet. These sheets are two to four times more corrosive resistant than low carbon sheets and offer a Yield Strength of 50 KSI. The increased strength of this steel sheet makes it a good choice when weight reduction is necessary.
