Contact Supplierside mounted level switch is a point level sensor installed horizontally on the side wall of a tank or vessel to detect liquid level at a fixed point.
Working principle
Most side-mounted switches are float-type (magnetic):
A float is attached to a pivoted arm inside the tank
The float contains a permanent magnet
As liquid level rises or falls → the float moves up/down
The magnet approaches a reed switch / microswitch inside the housing
This triggers an ON/OFF electrical signal

So it works based on buoyancy + magnetism.
