Siliceous Earth is a name given to a siliceous mineral which is white to off white to pale yellow in colour and has similarity with Diatomite or Diatomaceous Earth in character.The main component of this mineral is Silica (as SiO2) which consists of approximately 80% and above. Other associated elements are Alumina (as Al2O3) approximately 3 to 10% and traces of various other minerals.
