Silicon Carbide Powder (or SiC) is designed for grinding and lapping operations where high precision finishes are required and processing costs are important. Silicon Carbide Powder is excellent for use in a wide variety of applications such as grinding non-ferrous materials and finishing tough and hard materials. Most often, it is mixed with distilled water to create either a thin liquid or paste-like compound depending upon the powder to water ratio. We sell various grit sizes ranging from 120 grit through 1,000 grit and is available in 1 lb., 5 lb., and 10 lb. jars.
