SIMPLY BRILLIANT LEDS

GE is changing the shape and source of general illumination thanks to its light-emitting diodes (LEDs) technology. The first LEDs were invented at GE Global Research. Today, LEDs are already well established in a variety of applications that many people take for granted: automobile interiors and dashboards, cellular phone keypads and screens, televisions, computers, and other electronic devices as well as street and architectural lighting. They address consumers' increasing awareness of energy use, costs associated with lighting, and demand for efficient solutions. While it's clear that LEDs are a promising technology, GE Global Researchers are striving to deliver LEDs with high-efficacy, high-quality (warm) white light at a cost-effective price point. These will be the game changer for the adoption of LEDs in the lighting industry.
