Single Phase Controlled Bridge Rectifier

In ac circuits the phase controlledrectifier can be turned on at any angle a with respect to the applied voltagepolarity. The angle a is oftenly calledthe firing angle. These circuits arecharacterized as controlled rectifiers orconverters. In present model study ofsuch controlled rectifier in bridgeconfiguration is performed.The primeaim of firing circuit to produce triggerpulses to the thyristors at different firingangles.
