Slip On Flanges, Usage : Piping Industries Use

Slip-On flanges or SO flanges are commonly lower in price than weld-neck flanges, and to this effect are a popular choice for our customers. However, customers should bear in mind that this initial cost saving may be diminished by the additional cost of the two fillet welds required for proper installation. however, weld-neck flanges have a higher life expentancy than slip-on flanges under duress

The slip-on flange is positioned so the inserted end of the pipe or fitting is set short of the flange face by the thickness of the pipe wall plus 1/8 of an inch, which thus allows for a fillet weld inside the SO flange equal without doing any damage to the flange face. The back or outside of the slip-on flange or SO flange is also welded with a fillet weld.

• Stainless Steel: ASTM A182 F304/ 304L/ 304H/ 316/ 316L/ 317/ 317L/ 321/ 310/ 347/904L/ etc
• Carbon Steel: ASTM A105/ A105N/A694F42/46/52/56/60/65/ 70 / A350 LF3/ A350, LF2, etc.
• Pressure Ratings: Class 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500 and 2500, DIN PN 6, PN 10, PN16, PN25, PN40 and PN64, JIS 5K, 10K, 16K and 20K.
• Surface treatment: Transparent oil, rust-proof oil, hot galvanizing.
• Packing: in wooden cases, wooden pallets or as per customers special requirement.
• Delivery: usually within 30days after receiving the formal order..
