SMAC Anticorrosive Coating

SMAC ELASTOBOND PU is a water based aliphatic polyurethane polymer. It is an anticorrosive and thermal insulation coating made from latest multi ceramic and nanotechnology, especially for steel elements. Once cured, it resists many mild chemicals, water, heat, corrosive fluids and vegetation growth, thus considerably delaying the onset of corrosion of steel in the structure.

Application Procedure :

• First, remove all loose particles using wire brush or sanding. Clean the surface by water and/or suitable solvent to remove oil, grease & contaminants on the surface.
• A wash with our METAL CLEANER is recommended. Let the steel dry completely. Then apply one coat of SMAC ELASTOBOND PU by brush. Apply second coat after about half an hour, before the first coat cures fully.
• Full curing time is 1 hour at 30. C and 50.% humidity. In humid weather, full cure time is more; about 3 hours. A uniform surface coat should be formed. Let the film dry completely. Wash the tools and hands by plenty of water and soap. Use protective gloves &goggles.
