Raj Group is one of leading group of companies in the northern region of India dealing with soap, detergent and fatty acids industry with a group turnover of more than 600 crores. The group made its modest beginning in the year 1956 with a small plant of 50MT per annum for the manufacture of laundry soap. The unit slowly and consistently grew in size and volume and achieved the present size of manufacturing 15000 TPA of laundry soap and detergents.
Moving on the growth path and having established a name in the laundry soap market, the Group ventured into manufacturing of synthetic detergents based cleansing products in 1987 and started manufacturing Detergent powders (in economy, popular and premium category), Detergent cakes (popular and premium category), Dish wash bar, Liquid Detergent for washing woolens and fine fabrics.
The group is marketing most of its products under a strong brand name of 'RAJ' , 'Raj Super' & 'Saheli' commands a very good presence in the state of Punjab, Haryana, J & K, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, M.P., Karnataka, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and U.P.
The group though started its journey with the products that could suffice the most essential and the basic needs of the customers but now has decided to shift the gear towards more value added products, while retaining the old product line. Poised for its consolidated growth and development, the group has now set up the plant to manufacture 75000 TPA soap noodles and 65000 TPA fatty acid plant in the SEZ under the name and style Raj Industries at Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh).
