Soapstone

Soapstone is a soft material made of talc that is often used in more rustic décor schemes. It is ideal for use as cladding, hearths, and tabletops, and is commonly found in laboratories due to its neutral, chemical resistant composition. It can also be used in kitchen or bathroom applications, but will show wear with use. Soapstone is usually maintained by treating it with mineral oil. Light scratches can be buffed gently with 0000 steel wool or sandpaper.
