Cmc is an anionic structure and is affected by contamination with metal irons and salts. This effect differs according to the viscosity and ds. Cmc is less easily affected as the ds decreases and reacts
cmc is readily soluble in water and give suitable viscosity (thickener).
Cmc had high dispersibility and prevents sedimentation of particles (dispersion stabilizer).
