Sodium Hypophosphite Monohydrate is usually abbreviated as SHPP or HYPO. SHPP exhibits significant hygroscopicity, enabling it to actively adsorb moisture of air.

SHPP appears as a white crystalline colorless powder, hygroscopic and deliquescent, readily soluble in water, glycerin and ethanol, yet insoluble in ether.

SHPP is a strong reducing agent, its application is very wide:

• In electroless nickel plating, allowing for the formation of a dense and homogeneous nickel-phosphorus coating on both large-scale equipment and miniature components.

• In Polycarboxylate superplasticizer, it is used as a chain transfer agent for cement and concrete, boosting drying efficiency and enhancing solidity.

• Main raw material for producing flame retardants

• Used for making API intermediate

• Used as finishing agent for textile

• Used for industrial recycled water treatment
