Sodium hypophosphite is used as a reducing agent, catalyst & stabilizer, and chemical intermediate. Sodium hypophosphite acts as a reducing agent for electroless nickel plating application, which finds its usage in the electronics and automotive industry. Sodium hypophosphite (NaH₂PO₂) is a chemical reducer obtained from the reaction of phosphorous with caustic soda and lime. It is mainly used in electrochemical nickel plating applications, whitening agent and as catalysts in the fiber-glass industry.
