Sodium Methoxide Property : White amorphous flowing powder.Decompose to methanol and sodium hydroxide as meeting with water,and also decompose in the air as the temperature is above 126.6.Dissolve in methanol and ethanol;it is insoluble in benzene and toluene.Have strong stimulating and corrosive.
Application : Mainly used in pharmaeutical industry,used as condensation agent,chemical reagent,catalyst of edible oil processing in organic synthesis.
