Solar Home Lighting System

The Solar Home Lighting System comprises of Luminaries with Inverter, Switch, CFL's, Low Maintenance Tubular Lead Acid Battery, SPV Modules, SPV Charge Controller, and Inter- connecting Cables of approximately 15 meters length.

CFL's second generation of lighting solutions for today. These lamps have several advantages over conventional incandescent bulbs. CFL's are Energy efficient, long lasting (8000 Hrs) and produce less heat. Hence, CFL's are most suited for SPV applications.

Batteries are essential component in a SPV system, where energy has to be stored during the day and used in the night. A typical application being Solar Home Lighting System. The type of Battery used in Solar Home Lighting System is Low Maintenance Tubular, Lead-Acid Battery. Being Low Maintenance, it gives long trouble-free Service, requiring attention typically once in 3 to 6 months.

The functions of the "SPV CHARGE CONTROLLER" is to control charging the battery from the solar modules and also to control the load connection to the battery.

The solar modules charge the battery through the "SPV CHARGE CONTROLLER". When the battery reaches its full state of charge, the "SPV CHARGE CONTROLLER" disconnects the solar modules. Thereby, prevents over charging of the battery and thus minimizes the loss of electrolyte. The solar modules are again reconnected when the battery voltage is low. Disconnection and reconnection of the solar module is done automatically by the "SPV CHARGE CONTROLLER".

Solar Inverter has option to Charge the Batteries From the Grid, automatically switch over from SPV to Grid depending on the DC Voltage. Solar Inver Converts DC Power to AS Pure sine Wave 230 V AC Output, Which can be connected to any regular electrical devices.
