SOLVENT BASED BITUMEN

DESCRIPTION  
UIBPRIME-1 is manufactured from a blend of pure Bitumen with fast drying solvent, which evaporates quickly, to leave a continuous film, recoat able after 3 hours in black colour. 
ADVANTAGES  

 
USES  
For priming concrete, masonry, metal, etc. Suitable for use as a priming coat before applying any bituminous coating or modified bitumen membrane in roof "Damp proofing and waterproofing" below or above ground level. 

APPLICATION  

All coating surface preparation is most important, all surfaces to be stable and thoroughly cleaned. The product maybe applied to slightly damp but not wet surfaces. The application will be by brush or spray depending upon shape of area and surface to be treated. Depending on spray equipment up to 10% white spirit can be added to facilitate spraying. The coverage is 8 - 10 meters per Litre on metal and smooth surface. 5-6 meters per Litre on concrete and rough surface. Drying time 3 hours 15 minutes to surface dry. Fit to take further coat in not more that 24 hours. The specific gravity is 0.88 + 0.05 @ 25 degrees Celsius. 

STANDARD  
UIB PRIME 1 complies with drying time of Bs 3416 and water retention ASTM C158 
STORAGE  
One year in tightly sealed, undamaged container. It should be stored indoors under conditions applying to products with flash point of 38 degrees Celsius. 
CLEANING 
Clean with kerosene or white spirit. 

HEALTH & SAFETY 
Flashpoint for the product is 38 degrees Celsius, so it's a flammable material, in case of fire use dry powder, Carbon dioxide (CO2), foam. Do not smoke. Wipe off spillages immediately. 

SKIN COAT  
The solvent may have a narcotic effect if in.haled or absorbed through the skin. Wear protective clothing and goggles storage.

Approximately.2000 Mt, capacity Bitumen storage tanks in Mafraq industrial area Abu Dhabi, having well equipped heating arrangement. 
10x45 Mt, truck tankers are available to supply Bitumen within UAE and also to other gulf states as per customer's demand. 
Bitumen of all penetration grade, viz grade 40/50, 60/70, 80/100, 85/100, etc always are available for bulk distribution. 
In addition, all Bitumen cut backs like MC (Medium curing), RC (Rapid curing), and Bitumen emulsion, and other specialized products are blended and produced within the factory premises. Besides above, factory can produce and supply blown (oxidized) Bitumen in various grades such as 115/15 and 85/25 etc
