Description:
Vitamin K3 (menadione) plays a crucial role as a cofactor in the post-ribosomal synthesis of clotting factors such as II (prothrombin), VII, IX and X, as well as proteins C and S involved in thrombin regulation. Deficiency of Vitamin K leads to hypoprothrombinemia, which in turn causes prolonged bleeding, large hematomas, severe hemorrhagic anemia and hemolytic jaundice.
Indications:
To reduce blood loss during coccidiosis
To reduce stress caused by blood loss
To enhance laying performance during peak production and after debeaking
Breeder diets should be well-fortified with Vitamin K to avoid hemorrhagic syndrome in day-old chicks
Usage / Dosage & Administration:

Chicks / Growers: 8-10 gm per 100 litres of drinking water for 5 days
During coccidiosis: 20 gm per 100 litres of drinking water
