This form is comparatively hard and more solid and is available in blue and white colors that are capable of performing industrial activities like soaking up the moisture and water. In spite of having more or less the similar functionality, each of them is specialized for different purposes. The blue crystal is used for primly the breather transformer process and the silica gel white crystal is used for dehumidifying applications. Both these crystal forms have an absorbing quality of around 40% of their body weight and while the blue form is an indicating agent (turn the color from blue to pink), the white form is non-indicating and doesn't cause any color change when saturated.
