This species is basically sourced from the Southern states of USA. It has a distinct Creamish Yellow color and again has a coarse and heavy grain pattern. This is actually softwood, but can be compared to a lot of hardwoods because of it̢۪s heavy weight to strength ratio. It is also used for Framing, Structural applications like beams, Utility poles, Doors, Window, Cabinets, Plywood, Mouldings etc. SYP is widely used for Exterior applications after chemical treatment.
