Spirulina is a blue-green algae that grows on the surface of large fresh water lakes. Ancient people used this to skim spirulina algae off the surface of lakes and dry it into powders which serves as an important source of nutrients. Our Spirulina has amazingly high protein content of 70-75%.  comparing to meat and fish products they have only between 15-35% protein and vegetables have 6-11%.
