Each Spithro-250 Tablet (Azithromycin 250 mg Tablets) contains Azithromycin (dehydrate) equivalent to 250 mg Azithromycin (anhydrous). Our Spithro-250 Tablets also contain Azithromycin as a Macrolide Antibiotics use to prevent bacterial infection by interfering with their protein synthesis. It binds to the 50S subunit of the bacterial Ribosome, and thus inhibits translation of mRNA. Azithromycin tablets can be applied for the treatment of the following infections, when caused by microorganisms sensitive to Azithromycin :

Acute bacterial otitis media (adequately diagnosed)
Pharyngitis, tonsillitis
Skin and soft tissue infections
Uncomplicated Chlamydia trachomatis urethritis and cervicitis Acute bacterial sinusitis (adequately diagnosed)
Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis (adequately diagnosed)
Mild to moderately severe community acquired pneumonia
