Contact SupplierSplit electromagnetic flow meter consists of two parts: the sensor and the converter, the sensor is installed in the measuring pipe, the converter is installed within 30 meters or 100 meters from the sensor, the two are connected by shielded cable.
Split type magnetic flow meter is applicable for all conductive liquids, such as: Domestic water, industrial water, raw water, ground water, urban sewage, industrial wastewater, the processed neutral pulp, pulp slurry, etc.
Selection Between Integrated Electromagnetic Flowmeter and Split Type Electromagnetic Flow Meter
Integrated type electromagnetic flowmeter: Generally chosen for conditions with favorable site and environment, where the sensor and converter are assembled into one unit.
Split electromagnetic flowmeter: The sensor and converter are installed in different locations, typically selected in the following situations:
Based on the temperature of the measured medium, an integrated electromagnetic flowmeter can withstand temperatures up to 80°C, while a split-type electromagnetic flowmeter can withstand temperatures up to 150°C. Choose the appropriate flowmeter according to the medium temperature.
Consider whether there are explosion-proof requirements; split-type electromagnetic flowmeters are typically used in harsher working environments, so they have a higher protection rating, usually IP68.
In conditions with significant pipeline vibrations.
In environments where the aluminum housing of the sensor would be severely corroded.
In areas with high humidity or corrosive gases.
When the flow meter is installed at high altitudes or underground where it is inconvenient to debug.
When ordering, the separation distance between the sensor and the converter should be specified, generally not exceeding 100m. The converter is wall-mounted.
