SS 304 Butt Weld Fittings is a variation of the basic 18-8 grade, with a higher chromium and lower carbon content. Alloy 304 Pipe Fittings is non-hardenable by heat treatment, which is subject to pitting and crevice corrosion in warm chloride environments and to stress corrosion cracking above about 60 Degree C.
