Steel Trunnion Bolts

As a solution for a client in the power generation industry, Rohder Machine and Tool manufactured this Steel Trunnion Bolt using hot forging and CNC turning. During these processes, we rough and finish turned, undercut, chamfered, and threaded the outside diameters. The final bolts had an outside diameter of 2.50 inches, a hardness of 2630 Rc and a thread of 2-12"-4-3A. To meet the customer's supplied standards, we held the tolerance down to ±0.005 inches, and achieved a maximum material finish of 63 Ra.
