Stephenson Melt & Pour Soap Base – Crystal SLS/SLES Free

Our Crystal SLS/SLES Free Melt & Pour Soap Base is a product of Stephenson, not containing Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate, detergent free, and is used to easily manufacture soap bars. As its name suggests, these products simply need to be melted to a liquid and poured into a soap tray of your choice. Melt and pour soap bases can be formulated with added essential or fragrance oils or used as is.

This SLS/SLES free soap base is slightly transparent, neutral in odor and derived from glycerin and coconut oil, yielding moisturizing properties. Stephenson soap bases can be molded as desired and colorings may be added to create a wide range of unique soap bar products. Melt and pour soap bases containing glycerin have great foaming capabilities and leave the skin feeling soft and nourished.

• To create your very own set of hand made glycerine soap bars, here is what you’ll need:Crystal SLS/SLES – Slice into melt able chunks
• Fragrance if you wish      
• Add dried Botanicals if you wish      
• A soap mould and slicer  
• Microwave / Double boiler
  Open / Cut – Simply open the packaging, safely cut the Crystal soap base into smaller cubes, doing this will make the soap easier to handle and melt.Melt – Gradually heat the soap base ensuring that the soap melts evenly and does not boil and burn. If you are melting in a microwave please be careful and keep an eye on the soap as it can bubble over the container.Mix – You can use Essential Oils, Fragrances, Colours, Botanicals and Additives. Simply add to the melted soap base, mix gently ensuring that any fragrance you have added is evenly distributed throughout the soap base.Pour – Working quickly, simply pour your soap base into your soap mould. At this point you can add dried botanicals to the surface of the soap, by gently pressing them into the top of the soap if you wish.Create – Once your soaps have set and fully hardened simply remove from the moulds. We recommend always wrapping your soap bars immediately after releasing from the moulds to protect and preserve the soap•
