Vitagon injections contain a hormone called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) which causes ovulation and helps in the treatment of infertility in women by regulating the development of the female egg in the ovaries and influencing its release during the process of ovulation.
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is also useful in the treatment of male infertility by increasing the sperm count. Treatment with Generic HCG is also recommended in boys who show symptoms of delayed puberty i.e. delay in the development of secondary sexual characteristics such as hair growth and deepening of voice. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin injections (Vitagon) are also prescribed as intramuscular therapy in boys suffering from a pituitary disorder in which the testicles have not yet descended into the scrotal sacs.
