Stretch ceilings are primarily made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride) film and polyester textile fabric, each offering unique properties depending on the application.
1. PVC Film (Vinyl Membrane)
Base Material: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) granules.
Additives: Plasticizers, stabilizers, pigments, and fire retardants.
Features: Elastic, heat-stretchable, waterproof, washable.
Finishes: Matte, glossy, satin, metallic, translucent.
Additional: Supports UV printing for custom designs.
Thickness: Typically 0.15 – 0.35 mm.
2. Polyester Textile Fabric (with PU or PVC Coating)
Base Material: Woven polyester fabric.
Coating: Polyurethane (PU) or PVC for durability.
Features: Seamless installation up to 5 m wide, breathable, strong, and tear-resistant.
Applications: High-end, acoustic, or backlit ceilings; ideal for UV or large-format printing.
3. Supporting Raw Materials
Profiles (Tracks): Aluminium or PVC profiles to hold/stretch the membrane.
Harpoons & Clips: Welded to membrane edges for secure fixing.
Lighting Integration: LED strips, diffusers, and light boxes.
Accessories: Spacers, corner joints, and decorative trims.
