What is snell Surgizyme?
Snell Surgizyme is a low-foam, neutral pH, Triple enzymatic cleaner for surgical instruments and scope.
What are the benefits of Enzymes in Snell Surgizyme?
Instruments use in surgical procedures may be contaminated with blood proteins such as mucose, starch and fat. Enzyme Action is specific.
Protease dissolves blood proteins
Amylase dissolves starch
Lypase dissolves fat

What is the Temperature Rang When using snell Surgizyme?
Snel Surgizyme diluted and used at room temperature (25º C to 45º C) but for faster cleaning result use warm water at (45º C to 55ºC)
Excessive hot water will make protein load adhere to instruments and will cause enzymes to degrade before completing digestion and thus high temperature break down enzymes.
What happens if Snell Surgizymes sits out too long? How often it should be discarded?
Enzymes are an organic protein-based material once mixed with water, they will slowly begin to spoil just, as milk or meat would if left out too long. The solution will begin to smell foul, within a day Enzymes break down as they additional organic digest soils. If instruments are highly contaminated the load and depleted enzymes will both contribute to unpleasant odors, so it should be discarded after each use.
Does Snell Surgizyme Harm Instruments?
No, it as neutral pH safe to use on all instruments including lens and lumen instruments. Non corrosive system to prevent damage to metallic surface during the decontamination process when using this product as a pre-soak or holding solution. It is not recommended to soak metallic items over two hours.
Why Perfume is added to Snell Surgizyme?
There are two reasons,

• Mask the smell of organic load breakdown into the solution

Surgical instruments immersed into snell surgizyme solution, which is reach with the enzyme, to remove enzymes from the surface of instruments it should be wash with plain water before sterilization.
