Suvarnaprashan

Swarnaprashan is an Ayurvedic technique to improve immunity in children. It is a method of administering gold calx (Swarna Bhasma) in very minute quantities to improve immunity, strength, memory and intelligence in children. The original reference for this technique is mentioned in Kashyapa Samhita. Suvarnprashan sanskar is one of the 16 essential rituals described in ayurveda for children. The process in which Suvarna bhasma (purified ash of gold) is administered with fortified ghee prepared with herbal extracts, and honey.
